Hsieh Ming Chang

This Taiwanese watercolor artist has devoted thirty years to artistic creation and has held seventeen personal exhibitions. He has been invited twice to Christie’s international art auction and has won the National Arts Award for Young Western Painting Special Award. He is also a jury member for the National Art Exhibition Golden Dragon Award.

He is a representative painter of the Taiwan Watercolor Golden Age and was selected for the Taiwan Watercolor Centennial Exhibition and the China Watercolor Centennial Exhibition. He has recieved the Golden Jazz Award and the Golden Tripod Award and his works are held in the Taipei City Museum of Art collection. He is also an associate professor at the Department of Fine Arts at Taiwan Art University.

He published his latest book “Watercolor Creation” in 2011 through Lion Publishing and has created twenty professional works throughout his career. He has recieved the Ministry of Education literary and artistic creation award and continues to influence the next generation of artists through his teaching and mentorship. His work is widely recognised as a significant contribution to Taiwanese watercolor art.
