Viktoria Rogotneva was born in 1969 in Frunze, Kirgizia, which was then part of the Soviet Union. She spent most of her life in sunny Uzbekistan, also a former part of the USSR. She graduated in 1996 as a nuclear geophysicist at Sankt-Petersburg University, but now lives in Saint Petersburg and works in real estate.
She has always been interested in travelling, and as a high school student she would open the World Atlas and enjoy the bright pictures of various countries. She could not have imagined that only 20 years later she would have had fantastic experiences travelling independently through many regions. Now she is absolutely sure that a person’s life is only formed by desires.
Travelling and photography are now her most favorite hobbies. She enjoys organizing her own trips to the most isolated and wild parts of the world and photographing them for her own satisfaction. Her list of visited countries includes Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, RSA, Ethiopia, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Vietnam, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, USA, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Iceland, and China, totalling 50 countries.
