In 1989, Majid Arvari visited the painting exhibition of Master Morteza Katouzian, which had a great impact on him, and in 1990 he began learning painting under Katouzian’s mastery.
In 2001, Majid Arvari and Iman Maleki established their own painting studio and began teaching with an emphasis on classical and traditional values.
Majid Arvari participated in several exhibitions, including the Tehran Third Biennale Painting Exhibition in 1995 and the Exhibition of Iranian Realists Painters in 1999 at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
Majid Arvari also participated in group exhibitions of Kara studio painters in 1992 and 1998 at Sabz Gallery and in 2003 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Saad Abad Palace.
