Ted Dyer is a British painter born in Bristol in 1940 and widely regarded as Cornwall’s most collected contemporary artist.

He moved to Cornwall with his family in 1972 after leaving his career as a radiographer, dedicating himself fully to painting. He is described as ‘the Cornish Impressionist’ and has been exhibiting for over 60 years. His work is influenced by French plein-air painting, the Newlyn School, and British contemporary realism. He takes great care with composition, using human figures as an integral part of the scene.
