Alberto Pancorbo

Alberto Pancorbo was born in Soria, Spain, on April 18, 1956, and began painting from a very early age. At 18 he moved to Barcelona to dedicate himself entirely to painting. In 1980 he became an exclusive artist of Sala Gaudi and exhibited at the international art fair in Basel, Switzerland.

He exhibited in Spain and overseas, winning awards and was named “Artist Revelation of the Year” by Correo Del Arte de Madrid in 1985. He moved to Bogotá and later to Miami, where he continues to live. He has exhibited in the United States, Mexico, and other countries, and participated in Sotheby’s auctions.

“The basis of Pancorbo’s technical mastery is a traditional and complete art education, a method of training that provided discipline and total understanding of the media of painting.”

His work is displayed in private and public collections across the Americas and Europe. In 1994, the book “Labyrinths of the Soul” was published, compiling selections of his paintings. He continues to create original works outside the academic tradition.
