Nathan Brutsky is an Israeli artist living in Tel‑Aviv who started drawing after his father pushed him into art when he was a kid, even though he preferred soccer at first; soon he was rarely without pencil and paper and spent hours every day practicing which later helped him make complex compositions. He studied at Art and Design College, served in the army, worked as a graphic and architectural designer and book illustrator, and only later turned fully to painting and decorative work like stained glass, lamps and murals.
Over the years he learned from many teachers and since 2002 he’s worked closely with Michael Rozenvain, a partnership that deepened his work; Nathan cares about expression and style, but also that his art makes people happy. His canvases show rich textures, balanced color and a quiet energy, with dancers, flowers and couples glowing with an inner light, each piece feeling like a small, imperfect celebration of life.
