Miguel Ángel Lacal García is a Spanish visual artist from Granada with over 21 years of experience.
He is proficient in traditional and digital drawing, as well as 3D art, but has found his true medium in watercolor, where he captures light and movement with spontaneity and ease. He has worked as an illustrator and art director for animation studios and video game companies in the United States. In Spain, he contributed to several award-winning films at Kandor Graphics, including “The Missing Lynx” (Goya Award 2008), “The Lady and the Reaper” (Goya Award 2009 and Oscar nomination), and “Justin and the Knights of Valour” (Forqué Award 2013).
He also worked at Lightbox in Madrid, contributing to “Capture the Flag” (Goya Award 2015) and “Tad the Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas” (Goya Award 2017).
In traditional painting, he has an extensive track record of exhibitions and awards, particularly in quick landscape painting contests. His versatility and dedication to his craft have earned him recognition in both the digital and traditional art worlds,
