Mamma Andersson is a Swedish contemporary artist born in 1962 in Luleå.

Mamma Andersson studied at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, where she recieved her nickname to differentiate herself from another student with the same name.
Mamma Andersson began by painting landscapes because that was what she saw daily as she pushed her children around in the pram.
Mamma Andersson worked as a guard at Moderna Museet in Stockholm and was influanced by the work of Dick Bengtsson, whom she calls her “greatest teacher.”
Mamma Andersson’s work depicts domestic interiors, lush landscapes, and genre scenes, often including images of recognizable paintings by other artists as peculiarly placed accessories.
