Joel Sullivan

Joel Sullivan is a Canadian artist from Londrina who shifted from drawing to metal after a welding course changed his path. As a kid he sketched animals and superheroes nonstop, fascinated by anatomy and movement.

As an adult he left the pencil behind and began shaping metal instead, turning it into his main language. He mixed fine‑art instincts with hands‑on craftsmanship, building a style that feels raw and inventive.

He founded Iron Designs and started creating anatomical figures, robots, abstract forms and wall pieces, all forged with a sculptor’s patience.

His work carries that mix of precision and roughness, like drawings turned solid and alive in steel.

The sculptures often feel half‑machine, half‑human, echoing his early love for anatomy and comics.

He keeps exploring metal as a storytelling material, bending it into shapes that feel both industrial and personal.

His pieces now stand as a blend of craft, imagination and the spark that first pushed him to draw.
