Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski: Polish Realist Painter of the Munich School
Artist painter Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski ( 1849–1915 ) was a Polish artist who was known for his realisticly paintings from winter-landscapes, rural life-style, and dramatic scenes featuring wolves & sleighs.
He was a key-figure in the Munich School, studied in few places sucha as Warsaw, Dresden, and Prague, even before he established his career in Munich.
Alfred most famous work called “The Lone Wolf”, that showcases his abilities to capture motion and story.
In 1903, Alfred Wierusz Kowalski had traveled to Morocco (A country in North West Africa, inspiring a new stage of Orientalist paintings.
The art of Afred Wierusz-kowalski remain highly collectible and is featured in major European and American museums and colectors.
