Rachid Talbi is one of the painters who are out of the ordinary. Its primary reference is orientalist painting. As nothing is created ex-nihilo, the incandescent atmosphere of some of his paintings is reminiscent of that of the orientalists, the luminous atmosphere is reminiscent of the impressionists, the nervous touch and the full body work evoke the stroke of Van Gogh‘s tormented brush.

Rachid Talbi Painter Graduated in 1992 following higher studies at the University of Es-Senia in Oran, in the Microbiology sector. Self-taught painter. Member of the National Union of Cultural Arts After his university studies, Rachid Talbi chose to make his gift for painting, his profession.
In the 2000s, his artistic career took a flourishing turn when he became a permanent artist at the Dar El Kenz gallery in Algiers. Endowed with a very rich artistic activity, he participates in events related to painting in Museums, galleries and cultural places of several cities of Algeria.
He exhibits regularly at the Maghreb fair in Paris. Some of his paintings have been acquired by the Embassies of France, Venezuela and the United States in Algiers as well as by the Presidency of the Algerian Republic and the City of Paris.
In 2009, he was awarded a letter of Gratitude from his Majesty the King of Morocco, Rachid TALBI having offered him a canvas during the Feast of the Throne. Reaching the peak of his art, Rachid Talbi is keen to pass on his know-how to the younger generation.
In this context, he occasionally gives lectures to students of the School of Fine Arts in Mostaganem. He also runs workshops for small groups of privileged students in order to accompany and support them in the development of their art.
Rachid Talbi is a contemporary figurative painter who uses all techniques to express his art: oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, charcoal and pencil. From his bright and colorful touch flow scenes of everyday life, portraits, fantasias, seascapes, still lifes … Native of Beni Mellal in Morocco and very attached to his native country, Rachid Talbi returns there regularly and the represents in many of his works.
