Iraqi Artist Mahmoud Fahmi. I find his characters and colorful pallette is unique and different from all artist in the middle east region. He depicted the Iraqi culture in a narrative style that told many stories in one scene. I have seen his paintings years ago, but never forgot it.
Each painting represents a story or more in full vivid colors, that is not fairytale or dream but a real scene from the local culture. Also, objects are playing great role in each paintings, from watermelon, old vehicles, bicycles, house keys, kites to boats. All objects are primary elements that come from the depth of the iraqi culture.
Fortunately, Mahmoud still a productive artist based in Canada, we are looking for more paintings of such beautiful world.

Mhmod Fahmi, was born in 3 March 1962 in the city of Hillah/Babylon, Iraq.
