He began his training in 1987 at Troyan Art School, feeding his passion for fine arts and learning how each discipline could shape the next. Ceramics became his voice because it carried sculpture, drawing and painting all at once. After school he worked in many directions, from production ceramics to private artistic projects, always searching for a clearer way to speak through form.

Clay remembers every touch.

Boyan continued his education at the Sofia Art Academy, then spent several years in Sweden gaining more training and exhibition experience. Those years abroad helped him refine his ideas and understand how his work could live in different environments. In 2003 he returned to Bulgaria to start his own pottery business, developing pieces that became popular in tourist areas and selected galleries.

A vessel holds more than its shape.

In 2007 he and his wife moved to the United States, settling in New Hampshire. There he continued to grow as a ceramic artist, exploring new techniques and pushing his medium with quiet determination. His work focuses on clean lines, strong silhouettes and a balance between softness and strength. He aims for pieces that accent a room without overwhelming it, objects that feel honest and grounded.

Clay becomes a story when the hand listens closely.

“A beautiful accent, not a distraction.”

Form rises from a gentle spin,
holding space that draws you in.
Lines stay calm in a steady flow,
shaped by hands that move slow.
Light and shadow twist and play,
born from earth in their own way.
And in his work the viewer sees
a quiet strength in simple ease.
