Andrew Atroshenko was born in 1965 in Pokrovsk, Russia, and accepted as a gifted child into the Children’s Art School in 1977, graduating with honors in 1981. He entered Bryansk Art College in 1983 and later studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Art, one of the most prestigious art schools in the world. After graduating in 1999, he was invited by a US-based art group to participate in their activities.
He has exhibited in Germany, Russia, and the United States, and his work has been sold in galleries across Florida, California, and Arizona. Two of his paintings were auctioned by Sotheby’s in 2002 and 2003. He is inspired by his wife Maria and daughter Alexandra.

He was influenced by the New England landscapes and the work of artists Royo and Pino at Artexpo New York 2000. His work continues to be exhibited internationally. He lives and works in St. Petersburg, Russia.
